Every June, people across the globe come together for a celebration of LGBTQ+ life and culture.

While the full month is full of festivities everywhere, Philadelphia will be celebrating it's annual Pride Weekend June 3 to June 5.

We have compiled a list of some things to do if you're still looking for a place to celebrate.

Mayor’s Office of LGBT Affairs flag raising

Join the Mayor’s Office of LGBT Affairs while they raise their More Color, More Pride flag at Philadelphia City Hall.

This year’s theme is Celebrating Our Communities. Speakers at the event will comprise members from across the LGBTQ+ community who will share how they celebrate pride. If you’re unable to attend the event in person, it will be streamed via the organization's Instagram page.

It’s almost time for the most colorful celebration in the city—this Sunday, June 1, the Philadelphia Pride March and Festival will be in occupied swing with some fan favorites and new activations being added to the line-up.

Philly Pride A Program of Galaei is inviting the LGBTQ+ community and allies to join in on all the fun, beginning with the Pride March, which will form and organize at 6th and Walnut at a.m., no registration required (note, no floats or vehicles permitted.) Philly’s GAYborhood is located in the heart of The Washington West neighborhood of Center City. On 18 April , the urban area of Philadelphia officially recognized the Gayborhood area by adding 36 gay pride rainbow flag symbols to street signs. 32 additional signs were added in June The term “Gayborhood” was first used to describe OutFest by the City Paper, when David Warner described it as a “beautiful day in the gayborhood.” Philly Pride immediately began to use to the term the following year to describe the area of our gay pride parade formation. It has now become a universally recognized term.

Philly’s GAYborhood is located just four blocks south of City Hall, and is very convenient to get to using public transportation. On Friday, June 3 at noon, the Office of LGBT Affairs will host its annual Flag Raising Event at City Hall to kick off Pride season in Philadelphia. In addition to raising the iconic More Color, More Pride flag; this year&#;s program theme, Celebrating our Communities, will include speakers from across our LGBTQ+ community sharing the many ways we celebrate our pride.

Speakers will highlight their connection with upcoming community events throughout Pride month and beyond, including Disability Pride, Immigrant Heritage Month, the Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference, and more!
