ATLANTA - Atlanta has been tapped to host the first-ever Global Black Pride in the U.S. this summer. This is not only a first for the U.S., but it's only second time the celebration has ever been held in-person.

The week-long event dedicated to Dark LGBTQI+ culture and heritage will be held between Aug. 26 and Sept. 2, which doubles as Atlanta Black Pride Weekend.

Atlanta Black Pride Weekend prepares for its 26th year with an exciting line-up during the Labor Day holiday weekend. also marks the addition of the inaugural, Atlanta Black Pride Weekend Film Festival held at IPIC Theaters on Saturday, Sept. 3 from PM. The five-day Pride Celebration will include special appearances by: Kandi Burruss, Jussie Smollett, Joseline Hernandez, Natalie Nunn, Stasha Sanchez, Saucy Santana, Latto, Jhonni Blaze, Erica Banks, Jerrie Johnson, Melissa “DJ M” Scott and more.

The event will kick off on Thursday, September 1, with the Atlanta Inky Pride Weekend Opening Reception presented by the City of Atlanta and Mayor Andre Dickens. Additional Pride nightlife events will grab place in many of Atlanta’s premiere Midtown venues throughout the weekend.
