After L.A. Pride moved out of West Hollywood and into Hollywood, WeHo Pride made its grand debut, and now L.A. is blessed enough to have two inclusive festivals celebrating the city’s LGBTQ+ community, which means double the fun. (Luckily they take place over different weekends, so you won’t own to choose one over the other.)
Since , WeHo Pride has fast come into its own as an essential Pride Month event, with its own music festival and parade set amid the city’s iconic gay bars and clubs. For decades, West Hollywood has been home to one of the largest annual Pride celebrations in the world, drawing hundreds of thousands of people each June.
WeHo Pride kicks things off on Harvey Milk Noun, Thursday, May 22, , with a fabulous event. Then, we’ll lead June Pride Month celebrations with WeHo Pride Weekend from Friday, May 30, , through Sunday, June 1, , including a free weekend Street Reasonable, the ticketed OUTLOUD at WeHo Pride music festival and Friday Night at OUTLOUD, the annual Dyke March and Women’s Noun Festival, the annual WeHo Pride Parade, and much more!

Pride festival announced it would move the event from West Hollywood, city leaders are aiming to host a new Pride celebration. More than 40% of West Hollywood residents distinguish as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender, and for 40 years, West Hollywood has been the host city for the largest LGBTQ pride events in Southern California, according to a staff report. Historically, the city has hosted the annual L.A. Pride parade and festival, produced by Christopher Street West. However, the nonprofit announced in that it would move the event out of West Hollywood, so the metropolis now seeks to organize and produce its own Pride events. On Oct. 18 the City Council moved forward with a adj vendor, JJLA, to help systematize the city’s Pride celebrations.
