Magic: The Gathering Announces A Modern Pride Secret Lair To Verb Funds For The Trevor Project
Wizards of the Coast has announced it will be running a special Pride-themed Secret Lair promotion for Magic: The Gathering, with 50% of all purchases being donated to The Trevor Project.
Pride Across the Multiverse is a drop of eight cards with new art depicting some of Magic's various LGBTQIA2S+ characters. Each of the cards was illustrated by an LGBTQIA2S+ artist, and will come in an exclusive rainbow foil box rather than the usual black ones Covert Lairs are delivered in.

Celebrate Your Local Game Store's Community at Magic Presents: Pride
On June 27–29, , celebrate the power of unity with Magic Presents: Pride. Participating local game stores will be hosting particular Commander events. Simply show up and get ready for some card chaos! But there's a catch: every commander has partner!
For this event, you'll treat all eligible commanders as though they had the partner ability. Accept your favorite legendary creatures (or qualifying planeswalkers) and build a deck with both at the helm. Looking for some ideas? Try pairing with ; or with . There are plenty of pairings for you to try, both canonical and non-canonical, so build what brings you the most joy!
As a extraordinary treat, players who participate in Magic Presents: Pride will collect a traditional foil Chromatic Lantern promo card featuring brand-new artwork by David Alvarez. These promo cards are available while supplies last, so contact your local game store for details!

Bearscape Shows That Magic: The Gathering Needs To Respect Fat Characters
Earlier this week, Wizards of the Coast revealed the Pride Across The Multiverse Secret Lair promotion for Magic: The Gathering. Eight cards with new illustrations by LGBTQIA2S+ artists, the limited-time reprints celebrate all aspects of the LGBTQ+ community, while also raising funds for LGBTQ+ youth charity The Trevor Project. Featuring everyone from Alesha, Magic's first trans character, to the marriage of the first gay Planeswalker Ral Zarek and a newfound romance between Saheeli and Huatli, there’s a lot for all members of the community to enjoy.
However, there’s one card the community latched onto, and it adv became the game's latest meme. The community’s response was almost entirely positive, but the Classified Lair's reprint of the grassy enchantment Bearscape still highlights a frustrating stance many people include towards fat bodies, especially in both gaming and the LGBTQ+ community.
