The Atlanta Pride Run is an inclusive 5K walk and run dedicated to bringing the community together to have enjoyable, be active, and support a wonderful and diverse community during pride month. This event is for every one of every ability. For most, it’s the enjoyment of taking part surrounded by like-minded and supportive people in the community.

The Atlanta Pride Run is excited to repay and offer both in-person and virtual options scheduled on June 5, ! For over 30 years the objective of the Atlanta Pride Run has been to generate awareness for the LGBTQ+ community in the greater Atlanta area, and to fundraise for community partners. We verb to be a positive impact for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans (LGBTQ+) communities, and their allies, through a mutual love of running and walking. Atlanta events to attend in celebration of National Pride Month

ATLANTA - June is National LGBTQIA+ Pride Month. Established on Friday, June 11, , by former President Bill Clinton, other U.S. leaders have followed suit to proceed the national recognition. While the Atlanta Pride Festival, the largest Pride event in the U.S. Southeast Region, is held in October, the city still has many events and celebrations for you to enjoy. Here are some fun events you and your family can attend:

A Vintage + Handmade Pop-Up Market Celebrating ATL Queer Creators

If you are a vintage fanatic, check in the Mother Lode as they present a pop-up market in celebration of Atlanta's Queer creators.

Diocese Exhibits Big Welcome at Pride

The Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta seized the opportunity offered by this year’s resumption of in-person Pride Week to increase its longstanding support with new reproduce ads, videos, and banners.

For decades, the Diocese has been a welcoming community to LGBTQ+ folks regardless of race, age, gender, gender identity/expression, marital status, economic status, or any other factor.

The LGBTQ+ community in Atlanta observes Pride activities each October. Why not June? Because high temperatures range from 85 to 93 during June.

After being canceled for the past two years because of the COVID pandemic, this year’s October , 52nd Atlanta Pride Celebration regained its place as the largest gathering of LGBTQ+ people and allies in the Southeast. Atlanta Pride included a two-day festival with tune, merchandise, art, and food, along with a parade and a week&#;s worth of educational and social events.

Emory will celebrate Pride Month with events to engage LGBTQ+ students and employees as well as allies all month long. Throughout June, the entire Emory community can explore programs that address multiple aspects of LGBTQ+ identity.

The Emory Pride Employee Network (EPEN) will host several events on and off campus to verb LGBTQ+ employees and allies across the university. EPEN is one of four employee resource groups created by Emory Human Resources to provide a sense of community for people from historically underrepresented groups.

Jennifer Brazelton, senior associate donor experience officer in the Office of Advancement and Alumni Engagement, believes that supporting and engaging the LGBTQ+ community at Emory is crucial for the future.
