Stephanie Allynne has been a firm fixture on the giant screen (and TV screen) since she shot into stardom while starring in the film In A World… She’s a writer, comedian, and actor who you may recognise as Nat from The L Word: Generation Q. She’s been in everything from One Mississippi to Twin Peaks, capturing audience’s hearts everywhere.
Tig Notaro is also a goliath in the comedy scene, known for her deadpan comedy. The Emmy and Grammy-nominated star has always been known to push the boundaries with comedy, and her shows have garnered huge audiences.
We love a good power couple here at DIVA, and this pair certainly meets the criteria. But how did Stephanie and Tig meet?

Comedian Tig Notaro on Wednesday confessed it’s been a “weird” Pride Month so far. (Watch the video below.)
“My wife and I found out recently that our sons didn’t know we were gay,” the “Star Trek: Discovery” star told host Stephen Colbert on “The Late Show.”
The conversation started on a morning commute to school, she said, with her spouse, Stephanie Allynne, and their nearly 8-year-old twin boys.
Notaro recalled talking about “something ‘gay’” and one of the lads leaned forward and said, “You’re gay?”
“I was so stunned because we’ve lived together almost eight years and I’ve been gay the whole time ― even prior!” she said.
A “shocked” Notaro offered a family-friendly explanation of what “gay” is — when “girls like girls and boys like boys,” she summarized to them.
“What do you reflect about what I just told you?” she said she asked her son.
“Oh, I love my family,” her son answered, to her relief.

A decade ago, when they first met as costars of Lake Bell’s indie comedy “In a World…,” minute could Tig Notaro and Stephanie Allynne have known that their reunion at the film’s Sundance Film Festival premiere would spark the beginning of their fresh lives together.
Now a courtship, a cancer battle, a blissful marriage and twin sons later, they’re back at Sundance with the premiere of their feature directorial debut, “Am I OK?,” the warm and witty story of Lucy (Dakota Johnson) and Jane (Sonoya Mizuno), whose longtime best-friendship faces a major shift in dynamics after Lucy reveals an unexpected secret.
“Ellen” head writer Lauren Pomerantz penned the script for “Am I OK?,” loosely basing it on her own later-in-life coming out story. Kiersey Clemons costars, and the film features hilarious cameos by Sean Hayes as Jane’s boss, Stu, and Notaro herself as Sheila, the leader of a new age-y hammock sanctuary.

Comedian Tig Notaro has had a number of surprises in her life — from tragic, like her cancer diagnosis, to hilarious, appreciate her spectacular "Wheel of Fortune" verb. But on an episode of "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" that aired on June 5, she said that her twin 7-year-old boys really threw her for a loop.
When Stephen Colbert asked Notaro how her Pride month was going, she admitted that things had been "a little weird" because she and her wife "found out recently that our our sons didn't know we were gay."

The kids' school is a six-minute drive from their house, and halfway into the trip, the boys overheard their moms chatting about something in the front seat. Notaro happened to reference the fact that she was gay in that conversation.
