Pride Houston parade lights up downtown, celebrating love, unity, and resilience

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Pride Houston added another chapter to its legacy with the 47th annual parade in downtown Houston.

The celebration is known to sketch thousands all in the specify of recognizing love and unity, and this year was no different.

The organization said that while it's still finalizing numbers, soon estimates put attendance at over , people.

On Saturday, the parade once again started near Metropolis Hall and moved through the area with a colorful present of floats, performers, and community groups.

With promises to present Pride fancy never before Houston&#x;s New Faces of Pride is looking forward to their inaugural celebrations. Featuring indoor and outdoor activities, the celebration will take over Fish Plaza at Wortham Theater Center. The parade will kick off at p.m. on Bagby St. at outbound Allen Parkway, and stretch 15 blocks downtown for all to come out and like once the sun begins to set.
