the phrase 'gay hotel' in UK just reminds me of cheap B&B in blackpool or brighton.. yuck. go glam for the St MArtins Lane or Sanderson hotels and earn your kicks down the sauna (less chance of being robbed too)
And I live half a mile from there, so i know what i am talking about.
Better to stay in town nearer soho where the prices are not much more (esp if you take tube/taxis in account) and you can easily walk to all the amazing world class tourist sites London has to offer.
Sadly, my advice would always be to steer clear of staying gay in London!
